Berta's Panadería began with a simple encounter: Daisy walked into a Mexican panadería and asked Berta if she could photograph her while she baked Mexican sweet bread. The resulting images document Berta in her element, capturing the work, tradition, and joy behind what she loves to do.
Home, Sweet Home
Home, Sweet Home documents Daisy's childhood home in San Angelo, Texas, nearly 18 years after her family moved away. The photographs follow her parents and sister as they return to the house, revisiting familiar rooms and memories while the once-loved home slowly deteriorates around them. The series became a record of a place that had remained part of the family long after they had left it.
